We’re here! Just a few shots to whet the appetite – many more to come. We arrived at the hotel around 5:30 or 6pm, and pretty much crashed for the night. This morning (er, yesterday morning really) we ate breakfast at the hotel, and spent an hour or so walking around Bordeaux. Then we took a cab to the boat, and they had our stateroom ready early, so we got our stuff in the room, and went for a glass of wine and a brunch in the lounge. Then we went on our first excursion – a walking tour of the city near the boat, came back for a bit, then had cocktails and a briefing and meet and greet, followed by a great dinner with new friends. Then, about 9pm, we headed out for the night-time walking/metro tour for about an hour, and came back to the boat. I then spent an hour trying to solve a crazy computer problem, and finally got that handled, downloaded our photos for the day (I took about 270, Linda about 200). Here’s a few – then I’m going to sleep so we can get up at 8 or so and head out again for another tour of the city.
