Thursday, October 4, An evening on the water.
Today we spent much of the day in the Van Gogh museum, and they don’t allow photos in most of the space, so we left the cameras in the apartment!
This evening, we booked a dinner cruise on the canals in a boat nearly 100 years old. This isn’t really a canal tour, as they make a point of saying in their literature, it’s “dinner on a boat” – and it’s a very good dinner at that. They cruise the canals for about 3 hours, putting in at restaurants along the way to have the courses delivered – no real cooking on the boat. It was a great way to have a relaxing evening and get a sort of orientation to the canals and the city. Only a few shots from this one, as we were busy eating!
