Update, Friday, 5/15/2015:

We’re in San Marino. Fabulous drive here, the last 5 miles were amazing – and our rental car is a nice little BMW touring sedan (Euro-speak for station wagon). Handles well and is fun to drive, but is very comfortable.

So – a couple of quick images  first sunset shot from our hotel window (click on images to see larger views). I think we got the view room!

Next a panorama shot from the guard tower walls just above our room – the red tile roof you see on the extreme lower left of the panorama is our hotel. We’re on the top floor, so our window is just a bit below the level of the roof you can see in the image. This is a total tourist town – but we found a great place for dinner, and Linda is already sound asleep beside me as I type. We had wonderful sunny weather every day in Venice, with a bit of rain on Friday as we left. By the time we arrived at San Marino it was sunny and beautiful again.
